Beaked Skulls

Caught between species, informed by 'The Juniper Tree', a tale of rupture and transfiguration first recorded by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm in 1812. In the story, a murdered boy is buried beneath a juniper tree and returns not as himself, but as a bird. His resurrection is not a restoration, but a becoming.
